KELP ISN’T THE ONLY NATURE-BASED SOLUTION TO THE CLIMATE CRISIS.

BUT IT’S OUR FAVORITE ONE.

Question:

Can seaweed (specifically Saccharina Latissima) feed and supply the world without also polluting our ecosystems, reducing biodiversity, and creating CO2?

We believe it can.

Progress is marked by the development of new technologies and powerful stories that help us get to a different kind of future. For us, kelp is a nature-based solution for a greener economy while tackling the global effects of climate change.

From engineering feasible ways to process it to making carbon-negative products customers love, we're developing the cutting edge tech needed to accelerate this transition to a cleaner, bio-based economy and to help to restore and maintain the vitality of our oceans.

PLANETARY PHYSICS DOESN’T ASK.

IT JUST ACTS.

And so must we.

To build the future we want to live in, we began forming alliances with others who share the same goals to create a wave of change we can all ride together.

Our world class team of scientists, engineers, operators, entrepreneurs and mavericks are building new technologies that help farmers scale up in places like Alaska by setting up long-term production and profit sharing agreements.

In addition, we are collaborating with industry innovators and startups alike to develop new markets and applications for kelp in both consumer and commercial industries.

we’re putting together the pieces for a cleaner world.

IT’S pretty SIMPLE: TAKE CARE OF THE OCEANS AND THEY’LL TAKE CARE OF US.

We love the ocean.

We love them so much we put “oceans” in our name and a wave in our logo!

So, it wasn't solely as biotech engineers, scientists and entrepreneurs that motivated us to create Macro Oceans as much as we felt obligated to as people, parents, surfers and advocates of the planet.

Founded off the California coast, it's our mission to rebalance humanity's relationship with Nature through every possible idea, method, technology, and solution that considers the impact it might have on our home.
